Douglas Creek is located about 30 miles due east of Wenatchee, but you will end up travelling more like 50 miles to get there. Douglass Creek offers many water slides and pools as it flows through lovely limestone and basalt canyons on BLM land. The area is popular, so you probably should limit nude use to weekdays.
DIRECTIONS: From Wenatchee take route 28 souteast, past Rock Island State Park to Palisades Road. Turn north and proceed another 10 miles or so to Pailisades and keep on going. When the road turns east away from Douglas Creek, look for a left turn, take it, then the next right and follow the road up and over a steep hill. Take a sharp right at the bottom of the hill and follow the creek about 6 or 7 miles to posted picnic and parking areas along County Road I. Find an appropriate spot and enjoy yourselves.

My girlfriend & I (36 & 27) visited Douglas Creek this past Saturday and enjoyed it a lot. We have traveled the State of Washington looking for suitable places to enjoy nude hiking, sunbathing, skinny dipping fun, etc... and this was one of our favorites. We followed the directions from your web-site and found it without too much trouble. We found the south end closed as mentioned in earlier reviews. At the bottom of the hill there is a sign stating -ROAD CLOSED- however you can drive on up the hill another mile or so before the road is actually blocked off. We parked at that point. From there you can see the most accessible spot below you. It's obviously popular with local party crowds judging from the number of discarded beer bottles, cans, and graffiti. A real shame given the sheer beauty of the site. For more unspoiled tranquility and privacy keep on going north. As many of you know, the farther you travel for "naked time" the more private and undisturbed your surroundings will be. Imagine yourselves as early pioneers coming upon a great place for cooling off with a nice dip in the creek. It's breathtaking. I should mention that on this hike we were reminded just how back to nature we really were. We came upon a RATTLESNAKE who was kind enough to alert us of his presence with his aforementioned RATTLE. Needless to say we were scared sh!#less, but got over it and enjoyed our stay. Just BE CAREFUL, walk gentle, carry a big stick :), and listen very closely.
Thanks for your all of your time & energy!

The south end is closed, BLM guys said because of collapsed RR tunnel, I'm kinda hoping it's closed as to keep too many people from coming in, especially during a very dry summer. Anyway you can get in the north route (get out your maps) and it's very secluded &peaceful, let's keep it that way !!! Let the bathers & day trippers inhabit the south end & the campers, fishers, crawdadders, birders "take care" of the rest for it is one place that needs to be left alone. Oh yeah, please honor the crayfish & size/limits cause the bigger they are the more worthy they are to keep, not to mention the trout.................

Well, I don't know why, but the road from the Palisades side is closed! From the large pile of dirt closing the road you can see what looks like a closed sign just north of the area. If one wants to enjoy the creek, you better get your hiking shoes on. It would be interesting to know why the area is blocked off.

Hi,
I have been going to Douglas Creek for some time, and would like to share with you how
wonderful this place is. The Creek is very large in length, with many forms of enjoyment,
you can fish there; dive off large rocks into very deep water; get lost in watching the
local wildlife: birds, deer, snakes, etc.; or take very long walks up or down the canyon.
All along the canyon there are places to hike or camp. Be sure to bring the required
camping and personal gear; and follow the rule, "pack it in. pack it out."
Photo enclosed is of just one waterfall in the creek area, you can really get lost
taking pictures here.
Thank you.
