Just thought you ought to know ... neither South Beach nor Nehalem Bay State Parks in Oregon are clothing optional sites. Rooster Rock is our only designated clothing optional area. I wouldn't want a visitor showing up expecting one thing and getting another. Thanks.

The Oregon Coast is not a common place for naturist activity due the inclement weather conditions that prevail most of the time. But say you are on the Oregon Coast, and the weather does happen to be good enough. Where should you go? One suggestion is South Beach State Park.

This site has been used for years. Its just Unknown.

South Beach state park is located south of Newport on P.C.H. (hwy 101) across from the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Clothing Optional area is not located directly on the beach, but in the dunes between the park and Yaqunia Bay. Nudity is tolerated on the beach itself; but if there are any complaints the park officials will ask you to redress. All amenities are avalible at the site including camping. You will also find that many of the trails are open to clothing optional use.
