AUSTIN HOT SPRINGS, OREGON
Austin Hot Springs is located a short distance outside of
Estacada, Oregon. There are undeveloped camping spots and some soaking pools on both
sides of the river. To get across the river, you can drive upstream a few hundred meters
and look for a log across the river.
DIRECTIONS: Austin is on Forest Road 46 about 4 miles SE
of the junction with FR 63. From Estacada, Oregon 224 turns into FR 46 about 1/2 mile east
of Ripplebrook Ranger Station. It's very roughly 10 miles from Ripplebrook to Austin.

springs....
Austin: Was very crowded during the weekend that I was there. Its more like 3.2 miles
from where FR46 hits 63. The better pools look like they're across the stream. We didn't
visit. Not a naked body in sight but there were zillions of uncontrolled, screaming kids
running around unattended. If I were to return it would be during the week and I
would forge across the river to get a lil' solice.
