Molly's Tubs & Hot Springs is located in the Boise National Forest. This site involves a moderate amount of hiking to reachthe hot tubs and hot springs.
DIRECTIONS: First, purchase a map of the Boise National Forest from any ranger station and then from Cascade follow Forest Service Road 22 to FSR 474 and travel south about 1.3 miles to a pull out on the right. Hike down a short ways to several hot tubs. Molly's Hot Springs are further south. Head south another half mile to the intersection with a road leading to the east. Follow this road to Warm Lake, park your car and hike west on the blocked road for about 900 feet, cross the bridge and then take a right on the unmarked path for another 300 hundred feet or so to the hot springs.

Basically Sixteen mile hotsprings as described by Evie Litton is the best in the universe right above scenic but just barely. The water is hot but it is adjustable so that cold river water flows in. I have pix but I am nude in them let me know if you would like them plus any from the other springs.
This is a sunset from nearby.
I will scan more and send next week or so. [EDITORS NOTE: Those pictures are posted at the top of this page.]
Mollys Tubs: We didn't soak in the tubs because of how hot the water was. The folks that were at the tubs before us had taken to bringing in buckets of river water to mix with the spring water in the tubs. There were, I believe, three tubs; maybe four. There also was a dog that seemed to be proprietary to the tubs. They were RIGHT BY the road so I could see how nudity could intimidate. So we didn't soak, after all there were three other springs just on this road alone.
Molly's Springs: I don't recall the hike being that long, maybe a mile. The trail crosses the same creek that Molly's Tubs empty into and puts you on a hillside with two very crudely fashioned tarp-lined pools. As we approached the bridge and crossed it was difficult at first to see the pools; but we kept hiking up the hill and soon enough, violà. I did get naked and soak in this one. It wasn't very hot, but I soaked in the lower one. The upper one didn't seem to be much hotter. The only one impressed with anything was my "ol' lady"... but I digress.... We didnt stay long.

I was at both the tubs & the pool in July, 1996. The tub was a bit funky, but it didn't take too long to fill it. The water was so hot that it took much more cold water from the creek than hot water from the spring to make it cool enough to sit in. It didn't seem to me that nudity was a problem, although it was fairly crowded and there are families there. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again though. The pool was much better. It was fairly deep, holds several people & the water temperature was just right, but there were a lot of ugly pipes & tubes all over the place on the hillside above the pool. It was worth going to.

Avoid at all costs. It takes upwards of 20 minutes to fill a tub, and it is too close to the road to go nude.
