by John Hendry
Updated 01/02/98
The CO Digest and The Clothing Optional Digest are trademark names owned by John Hendry.
1). What is the CO Digest?--- The CO Digest is a privately- distributed list, similar to a LISTSERV list. It is open to discussion of Clothing Optional lifestyles, Clothing Optional or Nude recreation sites, or other related topics. The list is distributed on a daily basis, when articles are available, by the list owner and editor, John Hendry.
2). How do I subscribe to this list?--- E-mail your request with your full name to:
3). How do I contribute articles to the Digest?--- E-mail your article to :
Please note that this address is the only address available for contributions.
4). Is my article edited?--- Yes. The owner will delete any extraneous material in the address header, and any garbled transmission. When postings include previous postings, the previous posting will be edited to save space. In addition, the CO Digest editor reserves the right to make any editorial changes to the post deemed appropriate.
4a). All contributions are the property of the CO Digest. The CO Digest is copyrighted material, and assumes that all contributions to the list are First Publications, unless otherwise noted. Exceptions to this rule are News Releases and NAC Alerts, which are broadcast to multiple distribution sites. In addition, all releases from AANR, FANR, SWSA, ESA, MSA, WSA, NWSA, FCN, FQN, TNS, NAC, NEC or other nudist/naturist organizations will be treated as news releases from these groups, and will not be edited, other than to strip the mail headers. The CO Digest will also not knowingly publish non-news items which have been previously published on other internet sites or traditional publications without the expressed consent of that publication and the original author. Contributors to the digest must agree with the terms of this paragraph in order to contribute. For additional information, see paragraph 7.
5). What are the rules of the CO Digest?--- Fairly simple. This is a list for discussion of sites, lifestyles, news and other pertinent information concerning Clothing Optional living. This is NOT a swingers list, and any references to such will not be redistributed. However, sexual questions that are relevant to the issues at hand will be transmitted.
6). How did this list get started?--- The list owner, me, wanted to be able to talk with other people who have Internet or Bitnet links about nude recreation. I first started a LISTSERV List, (CLTHOPT), however it was shut down due to a technicality. This private list was born out of that. This list represents people from not only the United States, where it originates, but all over the world. This list is meant to be a companion to the Naturist Discussion Forum on Delphi, and rec.nude on USENET.
7). May I redistribute information from this list to other publications, or internet sites?--- Only with the permission of the CO Digest owner, and the original author of the article. This permission may be obtained via e-mail. Credit must be given to the CO Digest and the original author.
8). Who gets this list?--- Currently, this list is distributed to subscribers who have internet access through universities, corporations, and other communications services. It is also available to subscribers of Delphi, Compuserve, GEnie, America Online, and Prodigy. Any service that can receive e-mail from an internet source can receive the CO Digest.
9). What if I have additional ideas for this FAQ?--- Drop me a line at the address above. (By the way, for those who may not know, FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions).
10). Are back issues available?--- Currently back issues are available from the CO Digest web site. The URL is:
