In February, we were driving down a main drag in West Palm.
We were on the way to Haulover; the well known c/o beach in Miami.. It was a very hot day and I and the lady with me were both top free.
Nude from the waist up.
Her boy had jogging pants on, and the daughter a tee shirt. We were moving down this very busy 6 lane throughofare on the way to the expressway when her daughter started saying she felt sick... The mother told her to just try and relax and that we’d be there shortly... But it seems her daughter had other ideas. I was looking over at her in the front passenger seat when she suddently up-chucked a weeks worth of of ‘cookies’ all over my front seat, floor, dash and door... It was a major gusher and she really seemed to be trying to spread it around as much as possible too.. :-) I pulled off into the first drive I saw which fortunately turned out to be a small parking area for a closed storefront. We ended up about 15 ft off the road and on the left side of the small lot. Everything we had to do involved the passenger side of our SUV so from that point on we were in full and close view of all the traffic going by... At least in the direction we had been traveling..
The mother proceeded to clean up her daughter while I worked on my passenger seat, console and everywhere else the stuff had gone inside. We
were both running around, digging out replacement coverups, towels for the seats,
wipe-up material, and packing away the messed up stuff in air tight plastic bags, etc.; which *fortunately* I had several of... The stuff she got rid of really reeked!! Ha! It all took quite some time, at least a half an hour, and I'm sure was quite a site. The daughter standing there for a short while totally nude and her mother with no top dashing about trying to repair the damages... Myself and the son too with lots of skin showing... Even to the extent that my tie pants were the same color as my tan...
I wish now that I had taken a picture.
It was truly a strange and memorable situation. For me at least. :-) I was almost in a daze, but the woman took it in stride. What amazed me most was that there was not a single beep nor 'hoot' from the drivers going by. Even when we moved to a McDonalds across the street to do some finishing touch-up washings, and I inadvertently blocked the drive-through for a few minutes.. The driver in a stopped pickup just tended to look the other way and wait. :-) Even though he had a clear view of everything that was going on in and along side our vehicle. In this case mom had put a top on to go into McDonalds but was taking it off again before resuming our trip. All in all, I think everyone showed a lot of class, and there wasn’t even a hint of a traffic jam. :o) Perhaps acceptance is already upon us...?
Now the laws just have to catch up.
