The Ninth Annual Nude Volleyball Tournament at The Ponderosa.

The whole deal went for $25.00 Cdn or about $16.00 U.S a person. ~ A super bargain. ~ That covered from Friday at noon until Monday at noon. ~ There was a $5.00 charge if you played. ~ Unfortunately I had to sit this out  because of my healing broken finger. ~ There were about 400 people, players, spectators and regulars at the park for the two play days... ~ This picture was taken after everything was over... ~ No people pics of course...

The game registration started at 8 am on Saturday and the games were under way about 9.., lasting until around 5 with various courts  clearing at different time. ~ There are six courts.., 2 asphalt, 2 grass and 2 sand. ~ About 150 players participated. ~ Many were textiles who got nude just to play there. ~ Our guys did poorly, but you know some team have to be near the bottom.. :-) ~ Next year they'll have *me*. ~ They’ll make it *all* the way.., to the bottom...  <g> ~ Sunday was similar with games starting at 9 a.m. but depending on standings, some were done rather quickly before noon and others lasted until 4.. ~ Then the awards were held. ~ I can't give a full award listing nor do I think it's wanted, but I'm sure the web site will be a help if anyone want's to know that stuff.

There was an on-field burger and sausage stand going all the time. ~ Excellent sized and delicious. ~ The main kitchen served meals constantly (I believe) throughout the day. ~ There is a pretty massive outdoor pool. ~ The main length is 25 meters and at least 8 lanes wide. ~ It is L shaped with the L section being about 30' by 30 of mostly shallow for the kids. ~ Unfortunately it was on the cool side over the weekend. ~ Hardly any users at all. ~ Even on the fairly hot and sunny Sunday after the games. ~ I heard it had been empty the week before and had not yet heated. ~ They have a small indoor pool that was very warm.., probably 82-84.  There are two hot tubs which are very cozy size wise. ~ This is one area they should improve on. ~ The tubs are small so that when they’re full of people, it floods the water out, and then really too low when you go back to 2 or 3 people. ~ But we did get eight strangers into a six person tub.., and they came out really good friends.

I personally met many nice people.. ~ Saw friends from the Toronto O.R.B., Lilly Valley and elsewhere. ~ Of those I knew, they came from as far north as Hudson Bay and as far west as Thunder Bay. ~  One woman I first met at Empire Haven's festival a year ago came from Eastern PA.  ~ My favorite 'personal' highlight was with a tall, young, good looking woman that I met on the dance floor Friday night and we ended up dancing dancing  ntaaknegdo.  :o)

The Ponderosa is a family oriented and very large park.  I was impressed with the people who run it. The music man for the games and dances was absolutely the greatest.., even though he played one 'RAP' piece during Saturday afternoon. It must have slipped in by mistake.

They have one uni-sex bathroom building.   The other ones I knew of were in the club house and separated.  There are four Tennis courts too, I might add...

The Nudist Store set up a tent and did well.  Malcolm is in the process of setting up a distributor in England.  He will also be traveling to as many 'events' as he can reach in the future.

It was a wonderful time... No problems at all. When I got back to my car in Niagara Falls it started all over again. I had a flat.  Welcome to reality. ;-<

Next weekend is the competing tournament at The Four Seasons nudist park, down the road about 5 miles.  Another major resort which was $40 for the same four day deal but it is now booked solid for the games. Anyone can still come in as spectators or visitor.

I am skipping that one in preparation for our upcoming Canude trip starting on Sunday the 8th; which is pleasantly and coincidentally ‘National Nude Week.’
