The ONTARIO ROAMING BARES - TORONTO proclaims themselves to be:

 'Toronto's Own Family Nudist Social, Recreational and Travel Club'.

The club was founded in 1993. ~ During the first two years with their small numbers there were only a few house parties arranged as well as an odd visit to a  landed club. ~ By August 1995 they had their first swim night in a city pool. ~ They have had monthly swims ever since.

With regular swim nights, both membership numbers and event attendances increased at a steady rate. ~  Their special three hour swim nights have had up to 158 participants of all ages, - children to seniors. ~ The club out grew their original pool and now rent three different city pools, all of them quite family friendly.

You see the O.R.B. believes children are as important a part of the club as the adults. ~ Throughout the year, special events are planned just for the kids. ~ Two of the more popular kids events are the Aquatic Carnivals and the Children's Holiday (Christmas) party. ~ Where possible we do not charge an event admission fee for children ages 17 years or younger. ~ The O.R.B. now averages three activities per month. ~ Besides swim nights, other recurring events have included bowling nights, gym nights, a nude mini golf tournament, visits to landed clubs, entering teams in volleyball tournaments, family talent night, villa weekend get-a-ways, pot lucks, and more recently a few home gatherings. ~ Members of the club get newsletters, reduced admissions fees, priority communications, a membership card, and new for 2002 a nudist themed wall calendar with all of the club events already marked in.

The O.R.B. operates like most nudist clubs with some exceptions. ~ We do not require nudity at the swims or other events ( A helpful consideration to those new to social nudism.); and we welcome adult males who attend alone. ~ We have realized that many of the so called 'single males' are not really single, but most are married, many of which are also fathers to young children. ~ Additionally even some of the not married single males eventually meet up with a girlfriend who is willing to try out social nudism and they begin to come out as a couple. ~ The other main difference with our club is that we do not require any one to become members in order for them to continue an active involvement in club events. ~ First time attenders are ask to participate in an informal telephone screening call, and at their first event with us to sit in on a short orientation session. ~ This club policy applies to all from the newcomer to the seasoned nudist veteran.

The Ontario Roaming Bares seek to be a progressive club. ~ We hope to educate the textile population that we are ordinary folks like them, but who have a more positive attitude towards the human body. ~ We seek out recreational opportunities that are not usually done by other nudists. ~ We are a right friendly group to be among. ~ Consider attending one of our events.
